Who voices Woody in Toy Story 5?

Tom Hanks voices Woody in Toy Story 5. He returns as the voice of the loyal cowboy doll, a role he originated in Pixar’s first Toy Story film in 1995.

Hanks’s Woody is the emotional center of the franchise: a pull-string cowboy who begins as Andy’s favorite toy and later becomes a protector and leader to the other toys. Hanks’s performance helped define Woody’s humor, insecurity, loyalty, and sense of responsibility across the series.

Toy Story 5 continues the established voice cast while introducing new characters. Tim Allen returns as Buzz Lightyear, Woody’s closest friend and former rival. A frequent mix-up is confusing the actor who voices Woody with the actor who voices Buzz, or with Chris Evans, who played the space hero in the 2022 spin-off Lightyear. In the Toy Story films, Woody is voiced by Tom Hanks.
