Who voices Po in the English-language Kung Fu Panda films?

Jack Black voices Po in the English-language Kung Fu Panda films.

Black’s energetic comic performance helped define Po as an enthusiastic, food-loving panda who gradually becomes a skilled kung fu hero. Po’s personality combines insecurity, optimism, humor, and surprising determination, qualities that Black conveys through both dialogue and vocal timing.

The first Kung Fu Panda film was released in 2008, with Black joined by a large ensemble cast including Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Seth Rogen as Mantis, Lucy Liu as Viper, and David Cross as Crane.

Black is sometimes confused with other cast members because several famous comedians voice the Furious Five. He also performed songs and comedy roles outside animation, but Po remains one of his best-known voice-acting parts.
