What is the name of the Chinese goose who owns the noodle shop in Kung Fu Panda?

The story behind the answer

The Chinese goose who owns the noodle shop in Kung Fu Panda is Mr. Ping.

Mr. Ping operates the family noodle restaurant in the Valley of Peace and expects Po to continue its legacy. His enthusiasm for noodles is a recurring joke, but his role is more than comic relief: he gives Po a secure home and supports him even when Po’s ambitions seem far removed from restaurant work.

The name Mr. Ping is sometimes confused with the names of other fathers and mentors in the franchise. Li Shan is Po’s biological panda father, while Master Shifu trains Po in kung fu. Mr. Ping is the goose who adopts and raises Po. His restaurant and noodle-making traditions remain important parts of Po’s identity, even after Po becomes a kung fu master.
