Who voices Lord Garmadon in The Lego Ninjago Movie?

Justin Theroux voices Lord Garmadon in The Lego Ninjago Movie. He plays the film’s central villain, an evil warlord whose attacks have made his son Lloyd one of Ninjago City’s most disliked students.

Garmadon is more than a standard antagonist: he is Lloyd’s father, Master Wu’s brother, and Koko’s former husband. His complicated family ties drive the story, as Lloyd struggles with his father’s reputation while secretly serving as the Green Ninja.

Theroux joined a voice cast that included Dave Franco as Lloyd, Jackie Chan as Master Wu, and Olivia Munn as Koko. To strengthen the father-son dynamic, Theroux and Franco recorded many of their shared scenes together in the same studio.

A common mix-up is confusing Garmadon’s voice with Jackie Chan’s role. Chan voices Master Wu and also appears as the live-action shopkeeper Mr. Liu, while Theroux supplies Garmadon’s voice. The 2017 film was the third theatrical entry in The Lego Movie franchise and the second spin-off.
