In The Lego Movie 2, what coming cataclysm does Emmet fear?

In The Lego Movie 2, Emmet fears the coming cataclysm called Armamageddon.

The name appears after Bricksburg has been devastated by repeated Duplo attacks and rebuilt as Apocalypseburg. Emmet remains cheerful, but he has visions of a disaster he believes will destroy his friends and the Lego world. Lucy and the other survivors also treat the threat seriously, although they interpret events through their own fears and suspicions.

The film later reveals that Armamageddon is not a conventional apocalypse. It is a Lego-world interpretation of “our mama gets in”: Finn and Bianca’s mother finally intervenes in their continuing quarrel and orders the toys into a storage bin. That real-world punishment causes the Lego characters to believe they are being swallowed by a dark void.

A common mix-up is confusing Armamageddon with the Duplo invasion itself or with the film’s fictional Systar System. The Duplo arrival begins the conflict, while Armamageddon is the later catastrophe that unites the film’s Lego-world and real-world storylines.
