Who voices General Sweet Mayhem in The Lego Movie 2?
Answer
Stephanie Beatriz
Answer
Stephanie Beatriz
Stephanie Beatriz voices General Sweet Mayhem in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.
General Sweet Mayhem is an intergalactic mini-doll and commander in the Systar System’s armed forces. She arrives in Apocalypseburg, takes Emmet’s friends away, and brings them before Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi. Her imposing uniform and helmet initially make her seem like a conventional space villain, but the story later reveals more about her loyalties and the conflict between the characters.
Beatriz joined the sequel’s cast in 2018. She was already known for roles including Rosa Diaz in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and the film also gave her a musical moment: General Sweet Mayhem sings “5:15.” A frequent mix-up is confusing Beatriz’s character with the sequel’s other prominent new voice performers. Tiffany Haddish voices Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi, while Maya Rudolph voices Mom in the live-action framing story.
The sequel was released in 2019 and takes place five years after the first film. General Sweet Mayhem’s mini-doll design reflects the distinct character style associated with Lego’s girl-oriented product lines.
