Who voices Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story film series?

Tim Allen voices Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story film series.

Allen brought a confident, comic performance to the space ranger toy, whose serious understanding of his fictional mission contrasts with the other characters' knowledge that he is an action figure. That contrast is central to Buzz's introduction and remains an important part of his personality.

Tom Hanks voices Woody, so the two actors are often mentioned together because their characters form the series' central partnership. Tim Allen's Toy Story role is also distinct from Chris Evans's performance as the title character in the 2022 film Lightyear, which presents a separate version of the fictional space hero.

Allen continued voicing Buzz in the main Toy Story features, including the first film in 1995, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3, and Toy Story 4. His performance helped make Buzz one of Pixar's most recognizable characters.
