Who rules the demons in KPop Demon Hunters?

Gwi-Ma rules the demons in KPop Demon Hunters.

The film’s backstory says that demons preyed on humans and fed the souls they drained to Gwi-Ma. He is the central power behind the demon world and the force directing the Saja Boys against HUNTR/X.

Gwi-Ma’s objective is tied to the Honmoon, the magical barrier that keeps demons away from humanity. The demon ruler wants the barrier weakened so demons can regain access to the human world. His frustration with failed schemes becomes a recurring source of pressure on his minions.

Gwi-Ma is voiced by Lee Byung-hun in the English-language cast. The character should not be confused with Jinu, who leads the Saja Boys but serves under Gwi-Ma rather than ruling the demons himself.
