Twice performed the lead-single version of “Takedown” from KPop Demon Hunters.
The version was performed by Twice members Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung. It served as the lead single associated with the film’s soundtrack, while the song is also connected within the movie to Huntrix, the fictional girl group made up of Rumi, Mira and Zoey.
This creates a frequent source of confusion. Huntrix is the fictional act in the film, but the real-world promotional recording was performed by three members of Twice. The two groups therefore occupy different roles in the project’s music.
Twice also appears elsewhere in the soundtrack through the previously released song “Strategy.” The group was additionally cited as one of the inspirations for Huntrix, alongside Blackpink.
