Who provides the voice of Mater in Pixar's Cars movies?

Larry the Cable Guy provides the voice of Mater in Pixar's Cars movies.

Larry the Cable Guy, the stage name of American comedian Daniel Lawrence Whitney, gives Mater his Southern-accented, enthusiastic delivery. Mater is a rusty tow truck from Radiator Springs and becomes Lightning McQueen's closest friend in the first film.

Mater's role expands considerably across the series. In Cars 2, he is mistakenly treated as a secret agent during the World Grand Prix, while Cars 3 returns him to a supporting role in Lightning's racing story. His humor and loyalty make him one of the franchise's central characters.

Mater is sometimes confused with other recurring Pixar voices. John Ratzenberger voices Mack, Lightning's transport truck, while Owen Wilson voices Lightning McQueen. Michael Caine voices the British spy Finn McMissile in Cars 2.
