Who provides the voice of Lightning McQueen in Pixar's Cars film series?

Owen Wilson provides the voice of Lightning McQueen in Pixar's Cars film series.

Wilson voices the ambitious rookie race car in Cars, Cars 2, and Cars 3. Lightning begins as a self-centered competitor focused on winning the Piston Cup, but his experiences in Radiator Springs change his priorities and relationships.

Wilson's performance gives Lightning a recognizable mixture of confidence, impatience, humor, and eventual maturity. The character's voice is one of the central elements connecting the three feature films.

Paul Newman, who voiced Doc Hudson, is a common mix-up because Doc is another major racing character in the first film. Lightning McQueen is also distinct from Mater, who is voiced by Larry the Cable Guy.
