Who produced all eight Harry Potter films, beginning with the 2001 release?

David Heyman produced all eight Harry Potter films, beginning with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 2001.

Heyman founded the production company Heyday Films and became closely involved with adapting Rowling’s novels for cinema. The film series ran from 2001 to 2011 and covered the seven books, with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows divided into two films.

Chris Columbus directed the first two films, while David Yates directed the final four. Steve Kloves wrote most of the screenplays, but neither director nor screenwriter was the producer responsible across the entire film sequence. This distinction makes Heyman the specific answer to the question.

Heyman also produced other major films, including Gravity and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. His long association with the wizarding franchise continued into the Fantastic Beasts film series.
