Who is the protagonist of Assassin's Creed Black Flag?
Answer
Edward Kenway
Answer
Edward Kenway
Edward Kenway is the protagonist of Assassin's Creed Black Flag.
Edward is a Welsh privateer who becomes involved with both pirates and the Assassin–Templar conflict during the early eighteenth century. The game follows his adventures in the Caribbean, where he uses the ship Jackdaw and encounters historical pirates including Blackbeard, Charles Vane, and Anne Bonny.
Edward is the father of Haytham Kenway and the grandfather of Ratonhnhaké:ton, also known as Connor. This makes him part of the Kenway family line that links Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag with Assassin's Creed III.
Edward is not initially a committed Assassin. His pursuit of wealth and opportunity leads him into the conflict, and the story gradually focuses on the consequences of his choices. Players sometimes confuse him with Haytham, who is the central Templar figure in Assassin's Creed III, or with Shay Cormac, the protagonist of Rogue.
