Answer
Rubeus Hagrid
Answer
Rubeus Hagrid
Rubeus Hagrid is the giant gamekeeper at Hogwarts in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series.
Hagrid is introduced in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone as the large, bearded man who collects Harry from the Dursleys and explains that he is a wizard. At Hogwarts, Hagrid serves as gamekeeper and later teaches Care of Magical Creatures for part of the series.
He is half-giant, with a human mother and a giant father. His size and strength contrast with his gentle attitude toward animals and his loyalty to Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Hagrid often keeps creatures that other people consider dangerous, including a dragon and the giant spider Aragog.
The character is also connected to Hogwarts history: he was expelled as a student after being falsely blamed for opening the Chamber of Secrets. The film adaptations were played by Robbie Coltrane, who portrayed Hagrid throughout the main film series.
