Who directed the 2019 zombie comedy Little Monsters?

Abe Forsythe directed the 2019 zombie comedy Little Monsters.

The film follows Dave, a washed-up musician who volunteers to accompany his nephew’s kindergarten class on a school trip. When a zombie outbreak begins nearby, Dave and teacher Audrey must protect the children while hiding the danger from them as long as possible.

Abe Forsythe also wrote the screenplay. The film combines family-friendly visual humor with adult themes involving responsibility, grief, and personal change. Lupita Nyong’o plays Audrey, while Alexander England plays Dave and Josh Gad plays the children’s entertainer Teddy McGiggle.

Little Monsters is sometimes confused with the 1989 fantasy comedy of the same title starring Fred Savage and Howie Mandel. The 2019 film is a separate Australian-American production and is specifically a zombie comedy. Its festival premiere took place at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival before its wider release.
