Who directed the 2010 horror film The Crazies?
Answer
Breck Eisner
Breck Eisner directed the 2010 horror film The Crazies.
The movie is a remake of George A. Romero’s 1973 film of the same name. It follows residents and officials in a rural Iowa community after a military aircraft crashes into a water supply, releasing a biological agent that causes violent behavior and mental breakdowns.
Timothy Olyphant plays sheriff David Dutton, while Radha Mitchell plays his wife, Judy. The story focuses on quarantine, mistrust, and the collapse of ordinary civic systems rather than on traditional supernatural zombies.
The film is often grouped with infection and zombie cinema because infected people become aggressive and dangerous. Its central threat is biological contamination, making it distinct from undead stories in which the dead return to life.
