Who directed Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa?

Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath directed Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.

The film, released in 2008, is the second main entry in DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar series. Darnell and McGrath had also directed the original Madagascar, making them the returning directing team for the sequel.

The story begins with the main characters leaving Madagascar and heading toward Africa, where Alex encounters other lions and learns more about his past. The sequel expands the world of the first film while keeping the central group together.

Tom McGrath also voices Skipper, the leader of the penguins, and the production includes returning voice performers such as Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, and Jada Pinkett Smith. Conrad Vernon directed the later Madagascar 3 with Darnell and McGrath, not this second film.
