Which actor voices Dr. Blowhole in the Madagascar television franchise?

Neil Patrick Harris voices Dr. Blowhole in the Madagascar television franchise.

Dr. Blowhole is a recurring antagonist in The Penguins of Madagascar. He is a bottlenose dolphin whose schemes target the penguins and often involve elaborate plans for control or revenge. The character functions as a theatrical supervillain rather than as a character from the main Madagascar films.

Neil Patrick Harris provides Dr. Blowhole’s voice. The actor is known for television, stage, and film work, including How I Met Your Mother and the title role in the television series Doogie Howser, M.D. His participation is one reason the television spin-off attracted attention beyond the feature films.

Dr. Blowhole is not the same character as Dave, the octopus villain in Penguins of Madagascar. Dave appears in the 2014 feature film and is voiced by John Malkovich, while Dr. Blowhole is primarily associated with the television series.
