Which song is performed by Moto Moto in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa?

Moto Moto performs “Big and Chunky” in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.

The song appears during Moto Moto’s courtship of Gloria, the hippopotamus. Moto Moto is a confident hippo who uses the song as part of his flamboyant attempt to impress her. Will.i.am performs the song in the film and also voices Moto Moto.

The track is distinct from “I Like to Move It,” which is strongly associated with King Julien and the original Madagascar film. Both songs are linked with the franchise’s dance-heavy musical style, so they are commonly mixed up.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa expanded the series’ soundtrack with original songs alongside its character-driven comedy. “Big and Chunky” became one of the sequel’s best-known musical numbers because it directly reflects Moto Moto’s exaggerated personality and romantic pursuit.
