Chris Mundy co-created the DC television series Lanterns with Damon Lindelof and Tom King.
Mundy also serves as the series showrunner and executive producer. He was brought into the project after the Green Lantern adaptation was redeveloped under the new DC Studios leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran.
Mundy’s previous work helped shape the series’ grounded crime-drama tone. He worked on Ozark and the fourth season of True Detective, while Lindelof had created Watchmen, another acclaimed DC television project. The creators designed Lanterns as a character-driven mystery rather than a traditional space opera.
A common mix-up is crediting James Gunn or Peter Safran as the creators. They oversee DC Studios and helped develop the broader DC Universe plan, but Mundy, Lindelof, and King are the credited creators of Lanterns.
