Which Super Smash Bros. game features a stage called 'PictoChat' from the Nintendo DS?

The story behind the answer

The Super Smash Bros. game featuring a stage called PictoChat from the Nintendo DS is Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

PictoChat is a playable stage in Brawl based on the Nintendo DS communication application of the same name. Rather than remaining a static arena, the stage periodically displays animated drawings across its screen. Those drawings can create temporary platforms, walls, hazards, or other changes that alter how players move and fight.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl was released for the Wii in 2008 and was the first Smash game to include stages inspired by third-party franchises such as Metal Gear Solid and Sonic the Hedgehog. PictoChat stood out because it represented built-in Nintendo DS software rather than a conventional character-driven game world.

The main source of confusion is PictoChat 2. That follow-up stage appeared in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, and an updated version later returned in Ultimate. PictoChat itself, however, is the Brawl stage. Its unusual concept also makes it one of the series’ clearest examples of a stage whose identity comes from changing drawings and platform shapes.
