Answer
Carlo Ancelotti
Which soccer manager has won the most UEFA Champions League titles (5)? Carlo Ancelotti has won the UEFA Champions League five times, the record for a manager.
Ancelotti won his first two titles with AC Milan, in 2003 and 2007. He then guided Real Madrid to victories in 2014, 2022, and 2024. That combination makes him the only manager with five European Cup or Champions League triumphs, and the only one to win the competition with two different clubs three times in total for one of them.
The competition was called the European Cup before it was rebranded as the UEFA Champions League in 1992. Historical records normally combine both eras, so earlier winners such as Bob Paisley are part of the same lineage. Paisley, Zinedine Zidane, and Pep Guardiola are tied behind Ancelotti with three titles each.
Ancelotti also won the competition twice as a Milan player, in 1989 and 1990. That makes him one of the select individuals to win the European Cup or Champions League both as a player and as a manager.
