PiperWai is the Shark Tank company that makes a natural deodorant using plant-based ingredients, including coconut oil and activated charcoal.
Founder Jess Lingham created the product after looking for an alternative to conventional deodorants. PiperWai’s original formula was sold as a cream rather than a conventional aerosol or stick, and activated charcoal became one of its most recognizable ingredients.
Lingham appeared on Shark Tank in 2015 and accepted an investment from Barbara Corcoran. The brand later expanded its range to include stick deodorants and other personal-care formats.
PiperWai is sometimes confused with antiperspirant brands. Deodorant primarily addresses odor, while antiperspirants are formulated to reduce sweating, usually with aluminum-based active ingredients. Product formulas can change, so the package label remains the best source for current ingredients.
