Which Seattle Seahawks running back appears on the Madden NFL 07 cover?

The Seattle Seahawks running back on the Madden NFL 07 cover was Shaun Alexander.

Alexander was one of the NFL’s premier running backs when Madden NFL 07 was released in 2006. He had become the Seahawks’ featured runner after entering the league in 2000 and was central to the team’s powerful offense alongside quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and wide receiver Darrell Jackson.

His cover selection followed a remarkable 2005 season. Alexander rushed for 1,880 yards and scored 28 rushing touchdowns, setting the NFL single-season record for total touchdowns at the time. He also won the Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player award, and Seattle reached Super Bowl XL, although the Seahawks lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The alternatives point to other Seahawks running backs from different eras. Curt Warner starred in the 1980s, Chris Warren was a leading back in the 1990s, and Marshawn Lynch joined Seattle several years after Madden NFL 07. The cover specifically belongs to Alexander’s early-2000s Seahawks era.
