Madden NFL 20’s personalized career campaign about a created college quarterback is called QB1.
QB1 follows a player-created quarterback from the College Football Playoff through the NFL draft and into the beginning of a professional career. It was designed as a story-driven successor to the series’ earlier Superstar modes, letting players control a custom athlete rather than only an established NFL star.
The mode included ten licensed college teams, including Clemson, Florida State, LSU, Oregon, USC, Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech. That college setting distinguished QB1 from several other Madden NFL 20 features. The Yard was introduced in a later Madden title, while Superstar KO was a separate arcade-style mode added after launch. Longshot was the narrative mode associated primarily with Madden NFL 18 and Madden NFL 19.
QB1 is therefore the precise title, not a general description such as “career mode.” The campaign’s defining premise is the quarterback’s path from college football to the NFL.
