Which Seattle Seahawks cornerback won the Madden NFL 15 cover vote?

Richard Sherman was the Seattle Seahawks cornerback who won the Madden NFL 15 cover vote.

EA Sports again used a fan vote to select the cover athlete, but the format was smaller than the previous year's tournament. The Madden NFL 15 bracket included 16 prominent offensive and defensive players, with voting conducted through ESPN. Sherman emerged as the winner and was announced as the official cover athlete on June 6, 2014.

The game was released in North America on August 26, 2014, for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Sherman’s selection reflected the Seahawks’ defensive prominence after their Super Bowl XLVIII victory. The game also highlighted Seattle’s “Legion of Boom” defense on its start menu. A frequent mix-up is selecting Kam Chancellor or Earl Thomas, who were also key Seahawks defenders, but Sherman—not either safety—won the cover vote.
