Which original Shark left the U.S. series Shark Tank after its second season?

The story behind the answer

Kevin Harrington left the U.S. series Shark Tank after its second season. He was part of the original investor panel when the American version launched.

Harrington was known for his background in direct-response television and for helping develop and market products through televised demonstrations. That experience made him a natural fit for a program centered on entrepreneurs presenting products and companies to investors.

The Shark lineup changed over time, which can make early-season details easy to mix up. Barbara Corcoran, Daymond John, Robert Herjavec, Kevin O'Leary, and later Mark Cuban became more familiar to many viewers, while Harrington's tenure was concentrated in the show's early seasons.

A departing Shark does not mean that the investor stopped working in business or television. It simply identifies the end of his regular on-screen role in the U.S. series. Later seasons continued with a mixture of established Sharks and guest investors.
