Which model inspired Mira’s design in KPop Demon Hunters?

Korean model Ellis Ahn inspired Mira’s design in KPop Demon Hunters.

Ellis Ahn is the professional name of Ahn So Yeon, whose appearance helped inspire the visual design of Mira. Mira is one of Huntrix’s three members and serves as the group’s main dancer.

This design reference is separate from the inspirations for other characters. Jinu was influenced by Korean actor Cha Eun-woo, while the Huntrix group as a whole drew on several real K-pop girl groups. The filmmakers combined those references with Korean traditional details and high-fashion styling.

Mira’s character also has a distinct story role. She comes from a wealthy background, is viewed as the rebellious black sheep of her family, and fights demons with a traditional Korean polearm called a gokdo.
