Which MLB manager led the Kansas City Royals to a World Series title in 2015?

The story behind the answer

Ned Yost managed the Kansas City Royals to the 2015 World Series title. Kansas City defeated the New York Mets four games to one, clinching the championship with a 7–2 victory in Game 5 on November 1, 2015.

The title was the Royals’ second World Series championship and their first since 1985. Yost’s club finished the regular season 95–67, won the American League Central, and then beat Houston and Toronto before facing New York. The Royals also became the first team since the 1989 Oakland Athletics to win the World Series after losing the previous year’s Fall Classic.

A frequent mix-up is with the 2014 Royals, who also reached the World Series under Yost but lost to the San Francisco Giants. Joe Maddon managed the 2015 Chicago Cubs, while Mike Matheny managed the St. Louis Cardinals.
