Which McDonald’s character was designed as a police officer with a Big Mac-shaped head?

Officer Big Mac was the McDonald’s character designed as a police officer with a Big Mac-shaped head.

He belonged to the McDonaldland cast, a group of fictional figures created for McDonald’s advertising. His uniform and police role gave the character an official-looking identity, while his head directly connected him to the Big Mac menu item.

McDonaldland used food-based visual puns to make products memorable to children. Mayor McCheese had a cheeseburger head, while Officer Big Mac’s design referenced the company’s signature double-patty sandwich.

The character is often confused with Mayor McCheese because both had food-shaped heads and appeared in the same fictional world. The police uniform is the key distinction: it identifies Officer Big Mac.
