Which Madden NFL game featured a cover with Peyton Hillis?

Madden NFL 12 was the Madden game that featured Peyton Hillis on its cover. The Cleveland Browns running back won a fan vote in 2011 to become the cover athlete for that year's edition.

EA organized the vote as a 32-player tournament, with one representative from each NFL team. Hillis defeated Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick in the final, earning 66% of the vote. His selection was notable because he was not yet one of the league's longest-established superstars.

Madden NFL 12 was released in 2011 and was developed by EA Tiburon. It launched for systems including the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable. A common mix-up is confusing the game's release year with its title: Madden NFL 12 arrived in 2011, while Madden NFL 13 followed in 2012 and featured Calvin Johnson.

Hillis's cover appearance came after his breakout 2010 season, when he rushed for more than 1,000 yards and became one of the NFL's most discussed young backs.
