Which London venue hosted the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards?
Answer
Royal Festival Hall
Answer
Royal Festival Hall
The 2026 BAFTA Film Awards were held at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
The ceremony took place on 22 February 2026 at the Southbank Centre venue beside the River Thames. Royal Festival Hall has been the BAFTA Film Awards’ home since the ceremony moved there in 2023, following several years at the Royal Albert Hall.
The building has a history that predates the film awards by decades. It opened on 3 May 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain and became the central cultural landmark of what is now the Southbank Centre. Its auditorium holds about 2,700 people and is best known as a major concert and performance space.
The venue can be confused with the Royal Albert Hall because both are famous London arts venues and both have hosted major awards events. For the 79th BAFTAs, however, the correct location was Royal Festival Hall, not the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican Centre or Odeon Leicester Square.
