Which London theatre hosted the original stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child?

The story behind the answer

The original London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was staged at the Palace Theatre.

The play began previews at London’s Palace Theatre in 2016 and officially opened there on 30 July 2016. The venue is on Shaftesbury Avenue in the West End and is known for its ornate Victorian interior.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is set nineteen years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Its story follows Harry as an adult and his son Albus Severus Potter, whose experience at Hogwarts differs sharply from his father’s.

J.K. Rowling developed the story with playwright Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany. Thorne wrote the script, so Rowling should be identified as a story creator and producer rather than the sole playwright.
