Which J.K. Rowling charity book was written as a school textbook in the Harry Potter world?

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is the J.K. Rowling charity book presented as a Hogwarts textbook.

In the Harry Potter world, the book is authored by Newt Scamander and used by Hogwarts students studying the care and classification of magical creatures. Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s school copy is described as containing handwritten notes and jokes from its owners.

Rowling published a real-world edition in 2001 under the name Newt Scamander. The book is designed as a reference guide, listing magical creatures and discussing their characteristics rather than telling a conventional novel-length story.

Proceeds from the original publication supported Comic Relief. The title later became the basis for a film series, with Rowling writing the screenplays and Newt Scamander serving as the central character.
