Allstate has used the slogan “You’re in good hands.”
The phrase was introduced by Allstate in 1950 and became one of the most recognizable slogans in American insurance advertising. Its reassuring wording presents the insurer as dependable when customers face accidents, property damage or other risks.
The campaign is closely associated with Allstate’s logo, which shows two hands holding a stylized vehicle. The slogan is often shortened in casual references, but the established wording includes “You’re in good hands.”
Allstate began as part of Sears, Roebuck & Co. and became an independent public company in 1995. It is sometimes confused with State Farm’s “Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there,” another long-running insurance slogan with a similarly reassuring tone.
