Answer
The Black Keys
Answer
The Black Keys
The Black Keys released the 2010 album 'Brothers'. The Akron, Ohio, rock duo's sixth studio album came out on May 18, 2010, through Nonesuch Records.
'Brothers' was recorded in several places, but much of its distinctive sound came from sessions at the historic Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Sheffield, Alabama. Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney largely produced the album with Mark Neill. Danger Mouse produced the song 'Tighten Up', which became one of the record's signature tracks.
The album was a major commercial breakthrough for the duo. It debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and sold more than 73,000 copies in its first US week. 'Brothers' also helped establish the band's blend of blues, garage rock, and modern studio production before the even larger success of its 2011 follow-up, 'El Camino'. It is sometimes confused with releases by other guitar-centered duos, but the Akron clue points specifically to The Black Keys.
