Rumi leads HUNTR/X in KPop Demon Hunters.
Rumi is the group’s central vocalist and leader, sharing the spotlight with Mira and Zoey. She carries much of the story’s emotional conflict because her identity is tied to the film’s supernatural mythology in a way that the other members’ identities are not.
As leader, Rumi balances public responsibilities as an idol with the private duty of protecting people from demons. Her role includes performing, supporting her teammates, and confronting the threat posed by Gwi-Ma and the Saja Boys.
Rumi is especially associated with the song “Golden,” which presents her personal struggle and desire to become fully accepted. The song is not simply a concert number: its lyrics and placement in the film connect to her character arc. Mira and Zoey remain essential members of HUNTR/X, but Rumi is the group’s named leader.
