Which Harry Potter book by J.K. Rowling was split into two films?

The story behind the answer

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was the J.K. Rowling book split into two films.

It is the seventh and final novel in the original Harry Potter series. Bloomsbury published it in the United Kingdom on 21 July 2007, and the story follows Harry, Ron and Hermione as they search for Horcruxes while Voldemort’s power grows.

Warner Bros. adapted the novel as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2. Part 1 was released in 2010, while Part 2 followed in 2011 and concluded the film series.

The decision reflected the novel’s length and its many interlocking plotlines. The earlier books were each adapted as one film, although the movie versions necessarily condensed or omitted parts of Rowling’s text. The final book, rather than the sixth, is the one divided into two cinematic installments.
