Which Glasgow 2026 venue is expected to host athletics? Scotstoun Stadium is the athletics venue.

Located in Glasgow’s West End within the Scotstoun Sports Campus, the stadium was selected for track-and-field and para-athletics competition. Its outdoor track was relaid ahead of the Games, creating a dedicated competition surface rather than requiring a new purpose-built stadium.

Athletics and para athletics were scheduled across six days, from 27 July to 1 August 2026. Scotstoun was planned to host both the standard athletics programme and para-athletics events, making it one of the central venues in Glasgow’s compact Games footprint.

The alternatives in the quiz belong to other sports: Tollcross International Swimming Centre is associated with swimming, the SEC Armadillo with weightlifting and para powerlifting, and The Hydro with netball. That venue split is why Scotstoun is the clear answer.
