Which girl group released “Don't Cha,” the 2005 single featuring rapper Busta Rhymes?

The story behind the answer

The Pussycat Dolls released “Don’t Cha,” the 2005 single featuring rapper Busta Rhymes.

The song was written by Tori Alamaze, Busta Rhymes and producers including CeeLo Green, who was credited under his real name Thomas Callaway. After Alamaze’s earlier version, The Pussycat Dolls recorded their own version with Nicole Scherzinger as lead vocalist.

Released in 2005, “Don’t Cha” became a major international hit and reached number two on the US Billboard Hot 100. Its success helped establish the Los Angeles-based group as one of the most commercially visible girl groups of the mid-2000s.

The Pussycat Dolls began as a burlesque troupe before developing into a recording group. This history sometimes causes confusion about their exact debut, but “Don’t Cha” was the breakthrough single associated with their mainstream launch.
