Which food brand used the slogan “Once You Pop, You Can’t Stop”?

The story behind the answer

Pringles used the slogan “Once You Pop, You Can’t Stop” to advertise its stackable potato-based crisps.

The wording refers both to the product’s pull-tab can and to the idea that eating one crisp encourages another. Unlike conventional potato chips, Pringles are formed from a processed dough made with dehydrated potato and other ingredients, then shaped into uniform curved pieces.

Procter & Gamble introduced Pringles in the United States in 1968. The brand’s distinctive cylindrical can protected the crisps from crushing and gave the product a recognizable package unlike the bags used by many competitors.

A frequent mix-up is calling Pringles ordinary potato chips. The product was originally marketed as a potato crisp, and its composition led to legal and regulatory debates in some countries over how it should be classified. Kellogg’s acquired the Pringles business from Procter & Gamble in 2012, making it part of Kellogg’s global snack portfolio.
