Which film won Make Up and Hair at the 2026 BAFTAs?
Answer
Frankenstein
Answer
Frankenstein
“Frankenstein” won Make Up and Hair at the 2026 BAFTAs.
Guillermo del Toro’s 2025 adaptation of Mary Shelley’s novel earned the prize for the craft work that shaped its characters, especially Jacob Elordi’s Creature and the film’s Gothic period world. The makeup and hair design had to support both the Creature’s physical transformation and the elaborate look of Victor Frankenstein’s nineteenth-century setting.
The BAFTA win formed part of “Frankenstein’s” strong night: it also won Costume Design and Production Design. That makes the result easy to mix up with those neighbouring craft categories, but Make Up and Hair was a distinct award. The other nominees were “Hamnet,” “Marty Supreme,” “Sinners” and “Wicked: For Good.”
