Answer
Slovenia
Which European country is home to the Postojna Cave? Slovenia. Postojna Cave is a vast limestone karst system near the town of Postojna in southwestern Slovenia, formed over millions of years by the Pivka River.
The cave extends for about 24.34 kilometers, although only a portion is open to visitors. A famous electric cave train carries tourists through roughly 3.5 kilometers of passages, followed by walking tours among stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, and other formations.
Postojna is also known for the olm, a pale, cave-dwelling amphibian sometimes nicknamed the “human fish” or “baby dragon.” The species is endemic to the underground waters of the Dinaric karst. The cave even operated an underground post office, first opened in 1899.
A common mix-up is confusing Postojna Cave with Škocjan Caves, another major Slovenian cave attraction. Škocjan is especially famous for its immense underground canyon, while Postojna is renowned for its tourist railway, extensive passages, and olm population.
