Which Elden Ring boss is fought in the Crumbling Farum Azula and called the Dragonlord?

The story behind the answer

Dragonlord Placidusax is the Elden Ring boss fought in Crumbling Farum Azula who is called the Dragonlord.

Placidusax is an optional remembrance boss found in a hidden arena beneath the ruined architecture of Crumbling Farum Azula. To reach him, the player lies down at a specific ledge and drops into a strange time-lost space. The battle reveals a colossal ancient dragon with multiple heads and powerful lightning attacks.

His remembrance can be exchanged for the Dragon King’s Cragblade or Placidusax’s Ruin, a devastating dragon communion incantation. The fight is separate from the required encounter with Maliketh, the Black Blade, which also takes place in Farum Azula.

Placidusax’s title and dialogue connect him to an earlier age, before the current order associated with the Erdtree. The boss is therefore easy to mix up with Fortissax, Lansseax, or other named dragons, but only Placidusax carries the title Dragonlord.
