Which company used the slogan “We bring good things to life”?

The story behind the answer

General Electric used the slogan “We bring good things to life.”

The slogan presented General Electric as a company whose technologies improved everyday life. It was broad enough to cover the company’s consumer appliances, industrial equipment, aviation products, medical systems, and other businesses.

General Electric was formed in 1892 through the merger of Edison General Electric Company and Thomson-Houston Electric Company. Thomas Edison’s company contributed important electrical technologies, while Charles A. Coffin became GE’s first president.

The slogan is sometimes confused with Westinghouse’s “You can be sure... if it’s Westinghouse,” since both companies competed in electrical products and appliances. GE’s line instead focused on bringing beneficial products and technologies into people’s lives.
