Which company did Steve Jobs co-found with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne?

The story behind the answer

Steve Jobs co-founded Apple Computer with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne.

The company was established in 1976 and was originally known as Apple Computer Company. Steve Wozniak designed and built the Apple I, while Jobs helped promote the machine and organize its commercial sale. Ronald Wayne briefly participated as a third co-founder and produced early documentation and a partnership agreement.

Apple’s first business deal involved selling assembled Apple I computers through the Byte Shop in Mountain View, California. The Apple II, introduced the following year, became a much more important commercial product and helped turn the young company into a major personal-computer manufacturer.

Apple changed its corporate name to Apple Computer, Inc. in 1977 and later dropped “Computer” in 2007. That later change reflected the company’s expansion into music players, phones, tablets and digital services. NeXT and Pixar were companies Jobs led or founded later, but neither was the company he co-founded with Wozniak and Wayne.
