Which coach was the head coach of the 'Dream Team' at the 1992 Olympics? Chuck Daly was the head coach of the United States men's basketball team.

The Barcelona Olympics marked the first Games in which NBA players were eligible to compete, allowing the United States to assemble a roster featuring Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing and other future Hall of Famers. Daly had already established himself as an elite professional coach by leading the Detroit Pistons to NBA championships in 1989 and 1990.

The United States went 8–0 and won the gold medal, defeating Croatia 117–85 in the final. The team became known as the “Dream Team” because of its unprecedented concentration of basketball talent. A common mix-up is Mike Krzyzewski, who was one of Daly’s assistant coaches, not the head coach. Krzyzewski later became the head coach of several U.S. Olympic teams, including the 2008, 2012 and 2016 gold-medal squads.
