Which coach led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl victory in the 2020 season?

The story behind the answer

Bruce Arians led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl victory in the 2020 season.

Arians became Tampa Bay’s head coach in 2019 after previously leading the Arizona Cardinals. His second Buccaneers season brought a dramatic turnaround: the team signed quarterback Tom Brady and added tight end Rob Gronkowski, then finished the regular season 11–5 and reached the playoffs for the first time since 2007.

Tampa Bay won three road playoff games before reaching Super Bowl LV. The Buccaneers defeated Washington, the New Orleans Saints and the Green Bay Packers, then beat the Kansas City Chiefs 31–9 on February 7, 2021. The game was played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, making the Buccaneers the first team to play in and win a Super Bowl in its home stadium.

Todd Bowles was Tampa Bay’s defensive coordinator, not the head coach, while Jon Gruden coached the franchise to its earlier Super Bowl title in the 2002 season. Arians was 68 when he won, becoming the oldest head coach to capture a Super Bowl at that time.
