Which club won the 2010 AFL premiership replay against St Kilda?
Answer
Collingwood
Answer
Collingwood
Collingwood won the 2010 AFL premiership replay against St Kilda.
The first Grand Final ended in a draw, with both teams scoring 68 points: Collingwood 9.14 and St Kilda 10.8. Under the rules then in force, the premiership was decided by a replay the following weekend.
Collingwood won that replay at the Melbourne Cricket Ground by 56 points, scoring 16.12 (108) to St Kilda’s 7.10 (52). Scott Pendlebury won the Norm Smith Medal.
The 2010 season was the last time an AFL Grand Final required a replay. From 2011, a drawn Grand Final was decided by extra time rather than a separate replay. Collingwood’s victory gave the club its 15th VFL/AFL premiership.
