Which character served as Sunnydale High's principal in season 7?

Robin Wood served as Sunnydale High’s principal in season 7 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Played by D. B. Woodside, Robin appears when the rebuilt Sunnydale High opens and Dawn Summers begins her sophomore year. He is the school’s first and only principal after the original campus was destroyed during the season 3 finale, “Graduation Day.”

Robin initially seems suspicious to Buffy, who has good reason to distrust authority figures connected to Sunnydale. He eventually becomes an ally and reveals that he is also a trained vampire hunter. His background is tied to his mother, Nikki Wood, a former Slayer who was killed by the vampire Spike.

The answer is sometimes confused with Snyder, who was principal during much of the earlier series, or Bob Flutie, who briefly held the job in season 1. Robin is specifically the season 7 principal and later develops a relationship with Faith. He first appears in the season 7 premiere, “Lessons.”
